BiH Presidency with Members of the US Congress: Supporting BiH on its path to the EU

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sefik Dzaferovic, and the members of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik and Zeljko Komsic, received a delegation from the United States Congress, and it was emphasized that the United States will continue to support European integration in the region.

Members of the Presidency of BiH met with US Senators of the Commission on Foreign Affairs Jean Shain and Chris Murphy, Senator of the Commission on Armed Forces Tom Tillis, and US Ambassador Michael Murphy.

Dzaferovic, Dodik and Komsic expressed gratitude to the US Senate delegation for their support and efforts so far for BiH, as well as for the visit, during which they discussed topics of bilateral cooperation, European integration of BiH and the Western Balkans, elections and youth perspectives and on the extension of the EUFOR Altea security mission in BiH.

The increased interest of the new US administration in BiH and the region on the EU path was discussed, and US senators expressed support for BiH on the path to progress.

The Ukrainian crisis was also discussed, as the biggest security, humanitarian and economic challenge that the European continent is facing, the Presidency of BiH stated in the press release.
