The Price of Fuel in BiH to be increased?

A slight increase in fuel prices can already be expected on the gas stations in the RS.

Fuel prices will range between 1.84 and 1.89 BAM per liter, and it will depend on the territory at which the gas station is located.

This means that the price of fuel will be increased up to 7 fenings per liter.

Secretary of the Group for the Sale of Oil and Oil Products in the Chamber of Commerce of the RS, Zoran Berak, stated that the price of crude oil reached almost 65 USD a barrel on the world market, which represents an increase of almost 20 %, since the price of crude oil on the world market was 55 USD per barrel on October 8.

“Refineries in the region have already increased prices of oil and oil derivatives, so distributors in the RS are forced to increase their fuel prices at gas stations as well,” explained Berak.

He added that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced a significant respect for the agreement on reducing oil production, with the aim to increase the price of fuel on the world market.

According to him, if the announced increase in excises on fuel by 15 fenings per liter is adopted, it means that the price of fuel will be increased by 15 fenings plus VAT or 18 fenings per liter.
