Price Levels in Almost all Sectors in BiH increased in September

In September 2019, on average, price levels increased.

By divisions of COICOP classification in September 2019 compared to previous month, price levels increased by 0,5%.

Higher prices in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages, Alcoholic drinks and Tobacco, Clothing and footwear, Housing and utilities, Furniture and furnishing, Health, Transport, Restaurants and Hotels and Other goods and services.

By divisions of COICOP classification, in September of 2019 as compared to the previous month, the price index increased in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages by 0,4%, Alcoholic drinks and Tobacco by 0,1%, Clothing and footwear by 4,2%, Housing and utilities by 0,3%, Furniture and furnishing by 0,4%, Health by 0,2%, Transport by 0,3%, Restaurants and hotels by 0,3% and Other goods and services by 0,5%.

Lower prices in divisions of Recreation and Culture and Education.

By divisions of COICOP classification in September 2019 compared to previous month, the price index decreased in divisions of Recreation and Culture by 0,6% and Education by 0,1%.

On annual level, on average, price levels increased by 0,3%.

The price level in September 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 0,3%.
The average increase of prices was recorded in divisions of Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0,7%, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 6,0%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 1,9%, Health by 0,5%, Recreation and Culture by 1,2%, Education by 0,5%, Restaurants and hotels by 1,2% and Other goods and services by 0,7%.

The decrease of prices on average was recorded in divisions of Clothing and footwear by 10,0%, Furniture and furnishing by 0,1%, Transport by 0,4% and Communications by 0,5%.
