Last night, a book promotion in memory of writer and translator Marina Trumić was held in café gallery ‘Boris Smoje’. The book’s title is ‘Da nisam tu gdje jesam’.
Her son Srđan attended the promotion together with Rada Nuić, Acije Alfirzić, Adisa Bašić, Enko Mehmedbašić, Ahmed Burić, Mile Stojić, Admiral Mahić, Ljubica Ostojić, Bisera Alikadić, Ferida Duraković, Ibrahim Spahić…
Marina Trumić was born in 1939 in Belgrade, and spent most of her life in Sarajevo where she published several book among them Između mene i tebe (stories, 1971), Daleko proljeće (stories, 1971), Lirski dnevnik Marije Wisniewske (novel), Čežnje i daljine (travel diary, 1979), Ime puta (travel diary , 1987), Mome poštaru s ljubavlju (1995), Živi glas umjetnika (interviews with writers, 2005).
She also wrote several poetry books: Između Varšave i Sarajeva, 1999, Cipele za Mona Lizu, 2009.
She translated from BCSM language to Polish and vice versa and has contributed significantly to promotion of Polish literature in the region of former Yugoslavia.
She received a medal for contribution to culture of the Polish Republic.
