Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences today on the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Kremlin announced.
Putin called Khamenei’s death “a cynical murder that violated all norms of human morality and international law.”
“Khamnei will be remembered as an exceptional statesman who made a huge personal contribution to the development of friendly Russian-Iranian relations,” Putin said.
Iran confirmed this morning that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in attacks by the United States of America and Israel.
