Members of the Association of culture, education and humanitarian work “Progress Centar” from Travnik distributed gift packages to drivers of motor vehicles last night at the traffic light in front of the Sarajevo City Center.
They shared Ramadan packages to drivers as a symbol and a way of promotion of nobleness, unity and universal human values in the days of the month of Ramadan and in this time of great happiness and joy, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo.
“We came up with the idea to distribute these packages as gifts to drivers in order to draw their attention to slow down and follow the traffic regulations. We are witnessing that more than 5,000 people lost their lives on our roads in the last ten years, and we came up with the idea to draw the attention of drivers on this fact and offer them an appropriate package in these days of joy, i.e. days of Ramadan. This is not our first activity of this type. We have already realized the same activity in Central Bosna and Zenica-Doboj Canton, and we left Sarajevo for the end. We distributed more than 500 packages today,” said Abdulkadir Indzic, the president of the Association.
The drivers were pleasantly surprised by this gesture of young volunteers and they gladly accepted this Ramadan gift. This association is a non-governmental organization that has many years of experience and they are working in the field of affirmation of cultural values, education, and humanitarian work.
