Ramiz Dedic will spend another Winter on the Street

Ramiz Dedic, a homeless man whom Sarajevans most often see on Ferhadija, and his pet Tina will spend this winter on the street as well.

“I lived in a garage given to me by Safet, the owner of cevap grill. I spent three years there. But, his daughter came and said she needed it. She threw me out in the middle of winter and now I have to sleep in the park,” Dedic explained.

Kind people decided to help him survive the colder months, but unfortunately, everything they gave him was stolen.

“People brought me blankets, quilts, and everything, but I didn’t have a place to carry them, so I left them there. A thief or an envious person appeared, and took those blankets so now I have nowhere to go,” he said.

The representative of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Assembly, Haris Zahiragic, submitted an initiative in March this year to give Dedic an apartment to use. The initiative has been adopted but has not yet been implemented.

“I will freeze tonight. How will I sleep outside now when I have nothing to cover myself with, I have nothing? I can only sit outside and freeze,” stated Dedic.
