The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija received yesterday in Sarajevo the Ambassador of China to BiH Dong Chunfeng for his inaugural visit.
Lagumdžija wished Chunfeng a warm welcome and expressed hope that the good cooperation between these two countries would continue.
He expressed satisfaction with the fact that China appointed a new ambassador in a short time, which confirms that importance, that China places on its relations with BiH.
Lagumdžija congratulated the People’s Republic of China and the new leadership of the country, and he sent sincere greetings to the new President of China Ksi Jinping and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yiu.
During the meeting, they expressed readiness to make progress in cooperation, especially in economics, and in this respect the expressed intention of organizing a business forum of BiH-China, where business people from BiH and China would meet and led by diplomats from these two countries.
Ambassador Chunfeng thanked Lagumdžija for the warm welcome, and expressed his readiness to work on improving cooperation in the light of the good and friendly relations between the two countries during the duration of his mandate. He recalled the projects that China began in BiH in all areas, and whose realization is currently underway. He expressed readiness for the realization of a business forum between China and BiH, which would also be a good platform for better understanding. They agreed that in the next few months, and in the goal of planned bilateral meetings and holding a business forum, they would intensify cooperation between the two ministries, which would accelerate and harmonize the necessary agreements between the two countries.
