Merhemica SquareA contract for the start of the reconstruction of Merhemica Square in Ciglane was signed. Mayor Nedzad Ajnadzic signed the contract on behalf of the Municipality Centar, as a financier of the project, and on behalf of the contractor, the company “Bosman” Ltd. Sarajevo, the contract was signed by the director of this company Medina Jahic.

The value of works on this project was estimated at 286,222 BAM, which was allocated by the Municipality Centar from the budget of this year. The signing of the contract was attended by the Chairman of the Municipal Council Centar Karolina Karacic and the Councilor Denis Challenger.

According to Mayor Ajnadzic, this is only one in the series of projects that are planned for realization in the local community “Ciglane-Gorica” with the funds of the Municipality of Centar.

“We will start with the first phase of the reconstruction of Merhemica Square next week, and I am sure that citizens will be satisfied after all phases are completed. We have to protect the investment after the reconstruction by banning the traffic for heavy transport vehicles, which would damage it in a very short period of time,” said Ajnadzic.

According to director Jahic, the deadline for the completion of works on the reconstruction of part of the Merhemica Square, or the square behind the newly built mosque in Ciglane, is  35 days from the day of validation of the dynamics of the works.
