refugeesDuring the first nine months of this year, 31 person was caught at the border crossings and 93 persons out of corder crossings in attempt to illegally cross the state border of B&H, stated the spokeswoman of the Border Police of B&H Sanela Dujkovic.

Of that number, besides the citizens of B&H, four persons had Afghan citizenship, one was a citizen of Pakistan, two of Iraq, 18 of Turkey, and eight persons were the citizens of Albania, and neither of those persons was the citizen of Syria.

Reflecting on the state of refugee crisis in the region, Dujkovic said that the situation on the borders of B&H is still calm and that no cases of larger or lower influx of Middle Eastern refugees from the neighboring Republic of Serbia have been registered.

Dujkovic added that the Border Police of B&H timely created local and regional plans in case of larger or mass influx of refugees on the BH border.

In case of a mass influx of refugees on the border of B&H, the members of the Border Police of B&H will act in accordance with the Plan of emergent measures adopted by the Council of Ministers of B&H on September 8 this year which, in addition to other things, stipulates humane treatment of migrants/refugees in accordance with the legislation from the field of migrations and asylum and in accordance with the international law.
