Regional Conference “Balkan Museums Without Barriers” in Sarajevo

Osoba031211The foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders – CHwB and the Balkan Museum Network organize in Sarajevo a regional conference entitled “Balkan Museums without Barriers: Follow-up of making possible for disabled person to visit museums and cultural heritage of the Western Balkans” to be held on October 28th and 29th 2014.

Professionals working at museums across Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia will attend the conference. It will be an occasion to present more than 20 projects concerning increasing the availability of the museum’s contents to disabled person made by these experts in the past six years.

The projects by 26 museums of the region were realised with the help of CHwB and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

CHwB is a Swedish NGO founded in 1955. Since it was founded, it was dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting cultural heritage around the world. CHwB also works intensively on establishing equal rights of all people to enjoy the cultural heritage.
