Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Foreign Trade and Economic Affairs Minister Stasa Kosarac met with Slovenian Ambassador to BiH Zorica Bukinac in Sarajevo about bilateral cooperation and improving relations between the two countries.

The interlocutors stated that the relations between BiH and Slovenia are close and friendly, and that Slovenia is among the top ten foreign trade partners of BiH.

Ambassador Bukinac said that Slovenia is fully supportive of BiH’s European integrations, and in that context she noted that Slovenia will preside over the EU Council next year, and that the focus will be on the Western Balkan countries and BiH’s European integrations.

The interlocutors also discussed bilateral issues regarding the current high level of trade between BiH and Slovenia and volume of Slovenian investments in BiH.

Minister Kosarac focused on issues of building tourism capacities in BiH and stated that successful Slovenian practices could be a good example for BiH. He showed particular interest in the way in which the existing capacities and natural resources of BiH can be put into function of sustainable management of tourism potentials.
