Relevant Information from BiH’s Diaspora from now on also on WhatsApp

The association “Naša perspektiva” announced today that the community of Bosnia and Herzegovina‘s diaspora was launched on WhatsApp and it can be accessed by clicking here.

The community intends to provide relevant information about investment and B2B opportunities in BiH, as well as internship opportunities, knowledge transfer, financial and technical support, and other opportunities for diaspora engagement in BiH, including information on important status issues.

Effective information

“Considering the ever faster pace of life, especially in the countries of the Western world where the largest number of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina of origin resides, we are faced with the challenge of how to continue to effectively inform our diaspora and thus bind them in the long term, i.e. involve them in the development of the country of origin. Given that many of us today get information via phone, social networks and similar applications, we came up with the idea to adapt to the diaspora and to occasionally inform them through a group like this,” explains Armin Alijagić from the Business Center of BiH diaspora.

Diaspora investments

At the same time, he specifies that the notifications that will be sent, above all, must meet the following criteria – they must be relevant, useful and concise for our people who live outside the borders of BiH, “while ultimately the goal is the same: an informed and engaged BiH diaspora”.

Launched in October 2022, USAID’s five-year project Diaspora Invest, worth 15.7 million dollars, encourages cooperation between local communities and the diaspora of BiH and catalyzes investments from the diaspora and the transfer of knowledge in support of the economic and social development of BiH, according to the statement.
