The report about a bomb in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo was false, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton confirmed today.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mersiha Novalić, said that the counter-sabotage inspection of the Municipal Court building was completed at 3:20 p.m., and that nothing was found.

She also stated that this morning, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton was informed by several schools that they had received reports of a bomb by e-mail, and added that several multidisciplinary teams under the supervision of cantonal prosecutors are inspecting school facilities.

“The police department of the MIA of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, undertakes all necessary measures and actions to protect children and teaching staff,” Novalić said.

MIA of Sarajevo Canton appeals to citizens to cooperate and be patient. They also urged drivers to drive more carefully in the vicinity of schools, considering that a larger number of children are currently outside school facilities.
