Počelo otkopavanje na lokalitetu masovne grobnice u Oborcima koThe search of terrain on Rostovo in the Municipality of Bugojno ended with no results, since the remains of the victims of Croatian nationality who went missing during the past war in Bugojno were not found.

The exhumation on Rostovo was lead by the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, based on the testimony of a witness who claimed that bodies of 19 victims are located right at this area.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Missing Persons Institute (MPI) of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marko Jurišić said that this was one in a series of false reports of the so-called witnesses who were present during the alleged burial of bodies.

“In the past 15 years, we had around 30 exhumations that did not result in finding the bodies of the missing persons. I urge to terminate with this practice and that the persons who provide false information get processed, as a warning to everyone not to deceive the public and thereby inflict pain to the family members of the missing persons”, said Jurišić.

As he said, tremendous disappointment and anger occur with the family members, and they expect the protected witness to be thoroughly investigated and processed for giving false information.

Jurišić said that 188 persons went missing during the past war within the Bugojno Municipality, 130 of whom were found and identified.

According to him, 58 persons are still being searched for, 32 of whom are of Croatian nationality, eight of Bosniak nationality, and 18 persons of Serbian nationality.
