Runi Baker designed the “Study Buddy” Application, which makes learning easier

Runi Baker, a high school student from Gorazde and a second-year student at the “Enver Pozderovic” Mixed High School, has designed the “Study Buddy” application aimed at elementary and high school students to help them organize their studies and achieve better results.

Runi’s application automatically calculates students’ averages and notifies them of upcoming tests.

“My desire was to create something that could help students achieve better academic success. The student has the option to input tests, and the application sends them a notification a few days before the test. Additionally, the application calculates the average automatically while adding grades. The application is intended for high school and elementary school students. This year, I applied StudyBuddy to the M:tel app competition, where I presented my application alongside 19 other teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The applications presented by the other teams were excellent, but out of 19, the jury selected five applications to continue the competition in Belgrade, and mine is among them. I am very happy and excited that I will have the opportunity to participate in the regional competition and that I will compete with the five best teams from Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro,” Runi Baker emphasized.

Runi says that he would like to be the best in the competition, but that his current success is already a great victory. He is particularly happy that he can help his friends better organize their studies in this way, and several of them had the task of testing the application, which, due to competition rules, is not yet available to the public.

“We are aware that good organization is crucial for success in learning,” says Runi.

This is not Runi’s first success; he previously created the Recikliraj BA application, which aims to inform citizens of Gorazde about recycling and the locations of containers for separating recyclable waste.

He is heavily involved in programming and is a student at the IT Academy in Sarajevo.

“A few years ago, I watched my brother programming and became interested in programming. myself. I enrolled in the IT Academy in Sarajevo. During the day, I went to school, and in the evening, I followed lectures online. For two years, alongside my schooling, I studied at the academy. I worked on several projects, mostly websites and applications. As for the IT world, I enjoy programming, video editing, and design,” he stated.

The school is proud of Runi, his versatility, creativity, and young people who try to encourage others to participate in good projects with their ideas, Klix.ba writes.
