The fan group of the officially weakest football team in the world, San Marino, called “Brigata Mai 1 Gioia”, issued a statement in Bosnian.

The reason is the upcoming football match between San Marino and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be played on Saturday in this small country surrounded by Italy.

Although they are small and officially the weakest team in the world, last in the FIFA rankings, San Marino has shown that they have big-hearted fans. In Bosnian, they expressed their enthusiasm for the welcome they received during the first match in Sarajevo and Zenica.
“Dear Bosnian friends, welcome to San Marino! We can’t wait to repay you for the wonderful hospitality that we, the fans of San Marino, had last June in Zenica,” the fan group said, explaining:

“We hear that next Saturday’s match between San Marino and Bosnia is classified as “high risk” by local authorities. Our experience from the past weeks does not confirm this, because in Sarajevo and Zenica we encountered only openness, hospitality and a desire to get to know each other.

That is why we are sure that Saturday’s game will be another moment of peace and friendship and we are ready to welcome you with your flag, next to ours, in the part of the stadium where we are usually accommodated. 🤝”

🔜 See you soon, dear Bosnian friends!
