The popular gastronomic guide Taste Atlas recently published a list of the “100 most legendary restaurants in the world”, and a famous Sarajevo ćevabdžinica was also on that list.

Namely, we are talking about the Željo kebab shop, which finished in 63rd place together with some of the world’s largest restaurants. Taste Atlas stated that the Sarajevo kebab shop was opened in 1968, and kebabs were listed as the main specialty.

“Located in the very center of Sarajevo’s old town, the Željo kebab shop has been known for “the best kebabs in town” since 1968, they said.

“Ćevapi are small, hand-rolled minced meat sausages popular in many Eastern European countries and a source of great national pride in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” they wrote on the site.

It is interesting that this is the second time that the popular Sarajevo kebab shop is on the list of Taste Atlas, and when it comes to the region, the cult restaurant Tri šešira, located in Belgrade, is also there again.

Taste Atlas recently announced that they are looking for the opinions of locals from Sarajevo about the best restaurants in the city. In this way, they want to help foreign visitors get to know the traditional BiH. kitchen and try the best food that is offered in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Klix.ba writes.
