The construction of the first public underground garage with a multifunctional square of nearly 3,000 square meters has been completed in the Sarajevo municipality of Stari Grad.

Work began in March this year, and after the completion of the procedures regarding the technical acceptance and issuance of the permit, the garage is expected to be officially opened. The garage has two underground floors with 155 parking spaces, including an electric vehicle charger.

The entrance and exit from the underground garage is at the traffic light near the bridge.  The Municipality of Stari Grad told Klix.ba news portal that the price of using the parking space has not yet been determined, but that they will try not to exceed the 2 BAM.

The Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality Ibrahim Hadzibajric points out that he is sure that he will soon become the most visited square, and a venue for all major events for this city.

“Concerts, festivals, performances and other public events will be held here in the future. We have ensured that there is a playground for the youngest at the square as well,”  Hadzibajric told Klix.ba.

So far, there are no plans to set up summer gardens on the square, but the opportunity is open to enrich the offer if needed.
