This morning, Sarajevo is among the most polluted in the world in terms of air quality.

The air quality index in Sarajevo is 151 and belongs to the category of unhealthy.

Based on this index, Sarajevo is the eighth city in the world in terms of air pollution this morning, according to the “Airvisual”.

Swiss IQAir has more than 10,000 measuring stations and displays air quality worldwide.

During the winter season in Sarajevo and some cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the permitted concentration of suspended particles is often exceeded.

Accordingly, the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Public Health Institute recommends suspending stress and recreational activities, especially in the morning and evening. If you plan to stay outside, it is recommended to wear a face mask. Also, staying in the surrounding mountains is advised. For pregnant women, the elderly, and children, as well as people with respiratory and heart problems, it is recommended to stay at home.
