“Musica per la pau e la memoria” was performed yesterday in Sarajevo, with which was paid tribute to innocent victims of terrorism in Barcelona. The organizers, together with the citizens, sent a message of peace and noted that everyone should raise their voice against terrorism.
The President of the International Center for Peace Ibrahim Spahic said that La Rambla Street in Barcelona represents a symbol of freedom and that they marched along that street with politician Pasqual Maragall with the aim to raise their voice against the siege of Sarajevo.
Therefore, “Musica per la pau e la memoria” was held in Titova Street in Sarajevo, with the aim to pay the tribute to the victims in Barcelona.
Spahic said that it is time for all of us, not just states, statesmen, organizations and associations, but each individual to raise their voice against terrorism.
“We express our deepest regret for terrorism, and therefore Fatima Mehmedovic and Naila Komar will perform the same piece, which was previously performed in Brussels, Prague, at every step, in order to express our regret for the victims,” said Spahic.
He added that La Rambla is the same as Titova Street and that we live a life that is full of terror and violence, and that it is about time to finally put a stop on it.
“No pasaran,” stated Spahic as a message to terrorists!
“It is important to react, in the streets, city squares, and everywhere else,” noted Ibrahim Spahic.
