Sarajevo records new Cases of Coronavirus

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, 117 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton last day, after laboratory testing of 944 samples.

In the same period, 183 of our fellow citizens recovered from the Covid-19 infection.

Three people died as a result of the disease. There are currently 209 patients in hospital, 194 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation.

The share of vaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 10.53 percent. 136 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 73 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

There are five people on the respirator, 15 use non-invasive ventilation, while 11 are on oxygen support breathing above 15 liters per minute. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,440 active cases of Covid-19 infection.

There are currently 3,013 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 59,374 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered, while 56,538 have been cured.

“In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 182, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 302,” according to the Public Health Institute of CS.
