Sarajevo Taxi Drivers are again refusing rides from the Airport and blackmailing Passengers

The problems with Sarajevo taxi drivers at the Sarajevo International Airport have never stopped, and today there was a new case of refusing a ride without any reasonable reason.

Readers of the Klix.ba portal report that three planes with passengers landed today around 2 pm, but that despite the large crowd in front of the airport, there were not enough taxis.

One of those who was still waiting for passengers refused the ride on the route Airport – Čengić Vila.

The reason, definitely, is the short distance, according to the taxi driver, who was “stalking” either foreign tourists or someone to whom he will charge, for example, a ride to Baščaršija or some even further destination.

This long-standing problem seems to be unsolvable for the competent authorities, while Sarajevo taxi drivers continue to give a disastrous welcome to tourists and Sarajevo residents.

The portal Klix.ba previously reported on the testimonies of numerous passengers that taxi drivers did not want to drive on “short” distances or did not want to turn on the taximeter arbitrarily setting a price that is many times higher than the real one.

The CS Ministry of Transport and the Cantonal Inspection, although they have repeatedly announced a determined fight against taxi drivers who tarnish the reputation of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, still have not done anything concrete.
