umjetnicka_galerija_bih_“The results of art gallery operation in 2013 are inversely proportional for the status of galleries and culture of B&H. There are indicators that the status of galleries will be solved thanks to the initiative of THE FB&H government, which has decided to address the status of seven cultural institutions, 5 of which will be included in the budget of FB&H”, said the Director of B&H Art gallery Strajo Krsmanović.

At a press conference, Krsmanović recalled that the Art Gallery is one of the seven cultural institutions of national importance.

The curator of B&H Art Gallery Maja Abdomerović stated that the results of art gallery operations in 2013 are positive and she is optimistic for 2014 as well. She pointed out that the Gallery is booked since the second half of 2013.

She underlined that Sarajevo will be the center of cultural events in Europe in 2013 due to the marking of 100 years since the start of World War I, and Art Gallery will be the central institution where the most important exhibitions of this jubilee  will be exhibited.
