utakmica3On the 23rd of May, Sarajevo will be hosting the first edition of the “Sarajevo Union Open XXX”.

For the first time, the 3×3 tournament from the  FIBA (International Basketball Federation) calendar, with a 10:30am start time, will be held in Sarajevo, on the grounds of CSC Sarajevo.

The tournament will host 24 teams from B&H and abroad: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia, Sweden etc. The organizers are “Team XXX”, which consists of Damir Palata, Vedran Zivić and Feđa Vuleta.

The main goal of the tournament is the popularization of the new Olympic sport in Sarajevo. Winners of the first three places will receive valuable prizes, and the winner of the tournament goes to Copenhagen to compete in the Challenger which leads directly to the World Tour.

Sport develops teamwork and teaches good sportsmanship including how to deal with victories and defeats. In addition to being useful and essential for  health, team sport also aids human psychological development. Sport can and should become a significant part of the culture and the overall material and spiritual values of our society.
