Saturday as “D-Day”: The Last Words of Hamas Leader were a call to all Muslims

Hamas and Iranian state media announced yesterday that Ismail Haniyeh was killed in the Iranian capital, Tehran. His last words were a call to declare Saturday, August 3rd, as the International Day of Action for Gaza.

“We hope that August 3rd will be a crucial, significant, and influential day throughout Palestine, in refugee camps and the diaspora, in our Arab and Islamic world, and among all free people around the world, to support our people in Gaza and our free prisoners in the prisons of (Israeli) occupation,” Haniyeh said in his last statement to the media.

He also noted that “Saturday marks more than 300 days since the Nazi-Zionist occupation launched its genocidal war against the people of Gaza.”

“This call comes in light of international silence and incapacity to stop this aggressive war against our people and prisoners, the full bias, support, and partnership of the United States (U.S.) administration in this aggression, and the failure of human rights and humanitarian institutions to take responsibility in providing support and assistance to our people in Gaza and our prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist enemy,” Haniyeh concluded.

Yesterday, Hamas confirmed that their leader Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli attack in Tehran, where he was attending the inauguration of the new president, Klix.ba writes.
