High Representative Christian Schmidt participated on Tuesday in the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Valencia, where he took part in intensive discussions on the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans region, the OHR announced.
Schmidt spoke on the occasion with heads of government, foreign ministers, EU commissioners and other senior interlocutors.
He stressed that the rule of law, together with the legal and constitutional framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a fundamental principle that is not subject to negotiation, but only to further strengthening.
“The Congress in Valencia was a successful event for the Western Balkans, and above all for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Schmidt, the OHR announced.
