The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, stated that “Serbia is certainly not behind the overthrow of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), nor does it support it, but it is absolutely opposed to the attacks and attempts to overthrow the Republika Srpska (RS).”
Dacic claims “that the thesis that the Serbs are the main disruptive factor is constantly asserted, and no one wants to say that in the whole story there is a desire for the unitization of BiH and the abolition of the entities“.
He explained that Serbia is “very concerned about the situation in BiH, and that he is in favor of preserving territorial integrity and therefore thinks that the solution should be in dialogue”.
“I think it is in our common interest to try to live in the best waypossible, to cooperate with each other and to move towards the European Union (EU) together,” Dacic told.
Speaking about the tense situation in BiH and the relationship with the RS, Dacic said that “this is not the first time, and that international representatives have repeatedly done this in relation to the RS and that they do not like a strong RS, because it is a barrier to the unitization of BiH “.
He pointed out that Christian Schmidt, who is not recognized by RS, should try to be a unifier and not impose his will.
Dacic said that “in Sarajevo, they react terribly when someone tells them – if Bosniaks have nothing against the independence of Kosovo, what are their arguments to say something against Banja Luka?”
“There is no answer, they are trying to explain that it is not the same. I did not even say that it is the same, but RS is an international creation, an internationally recognized entity, which was invented by the United States (U.S.), not us. Now you claim to support Kosovo, and you can’t see that you have a problem in your yard,” said Dacic, Klix.ba reports.
