Setting the Foundation for the Bridge on Sava River near Svilaj

svilaj-bridgeMinister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Ismir Jusko, and Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of Croatia, Oleg Butkovic, will officially lay the foundation stone for the start of construction of the bridge on Sava River near Svilaj, the Municipality of Odzak.
Denis Zvizdic, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, will also attend the official ceremony.
It is a major infrastructure project on the Corridor 5C, which will be connecting the motorway from the BH and Croatian side on Sava River.
Bridge over the Sava River near Svilaj is a connection of the Corridor 5C between BiH and the Republic of Croatia, or sections of the motorway in Croatia: Sredanci – the border with BiH and the section of the motorway in BiH: Odzak – the border with Croatia, interstate bridge Svilaj.
For each direction are provided three lanes of 3.50 meters, as well as concrete monolithic 0.75 meters wide footpath. The bridge is 640 meters long and 29 meters wide, with a concrete-steel construction, which weighs about 5,000 tons.
The contractors are Business Association Viadukt Ltd. Zagreb and the company Hering Ltd. Siroki Brijeg.
The deadline for the completion of construction of the bridge is two years after the introduction of contactors to work.
