So far, 320 reports of damage to residential buildings caused by the recent earthquake that hit Herzegovina have been received in the Stolac area, it was confirmed on Saturday from the Herzegovina Neretva Canton (HNC) Civil Protection Operations Center.
Earlier, the mayor of Stolac, Stjepan Boskovic, made a decision to declare a state of natural disaster in the area of this city caused by the earthquake, which caused great damage to public, economic, cultural, religious, residential and other buildings.
During his visit to this city, the Prime Minister of the Cantonal Government Nevenko Herceg said that the Government will adequately respond to requests through the cantonal procedure, through earmarked funds from the Civil Protection Administration, but also through the engagement of funds from the current reserve.
“The cantonal level will help our municipalities and cities to repair the damage,” the then HNC prime minister said.
Yesterday was the last day for reporting damage in cities and municipalities in Republika Srpska, and the Expert Team of the Republic Directorate for Reconstruction and Construction during the week reported that more than 250 damaged buildings were reported in Ljubinje and Berkovici, while in Bileca, 120 requests for damage assessment.
