Seven Persons tested positive for Coronavirus, One Death recorded in Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, seven people out of 536 tested positive for coronavirus in Sarajevo Canton. Ten recovered while one person died. For the sake of comparison, six newly infected out of 381 processed tests were registered in the Sarajevo Canton yesterday, and one death was recorded.

Of the mentioned number of newly infected in the last 24 hours, four persons belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 51 patients are hospitalized in Canton Sarajevo, 30 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 21 in the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

In the past 24 hours, one person was released from hospitalization.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 209 active cases of coronavirus. There are currently 1,466 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 52,526 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 51,034 have been cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is seven, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 12.
