Seventeenth International Meetings of the Oldtimers to take Place in Sarajevo

Seventeenth International Meetings of the oldtimers today brought together nearly 60 vehicles that have marked the past century, and the event started off the Sarajevo Mostar Road, stopping at the Tito’s bunker in Konjic.

The oldest car was Ford produced in 1917 and numerous guests from Hungary, Germany, Austria, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro will present their cars produced in 60s, 70s and 80s.

These types of cars were driven by Bonnie and Clyde, the Austro-Hungarian Franc Ferdinand and his wife Sofia, and there will also be Mercedes 190 S from 1960, which was driven by Dzemal Bijedic, president of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Nedim Husic from the Old Timer team told Federal News Agency that the event continues on weekends and is planned to gather on Saturday at Vilson’s promenade in Sarajevo.

On Sunday, May 5th, Sarajevo will host a party where citizens will choose the most beautiful car, and Husic remarks that a multi-day event will be held on the occasion of the Sarajevo Canton Day.
