Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding Between UN Office for Drugs and Crime -UNODC and B&H Institutions

UN zgradaJoint program of container control of UNODC and World Customs Organization is launched in B&H with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime.

On this occasion, a ceremony  of signing of memorandum of understanding between UNODC, Indirect Taxation Authority in B&H, B&H Boarder Police and B&H Ministry of Security will take place today at the UN premises in Sarajevo, at 14:00.

UNODC Container Control Program in B&H will be in line with other regional and global strategies, especially with programs launched in Albania and Montenegro. The program also includes the activities of law enforcement in the fight against corruption, human trafficking and migrant smuggling, criminal justice and the prevention of terrorism.

Program in B&H is implemented by UNODC, and is based on a partnership between UNODC and the institutions of B&H through the regional program for South Eastern Europe 2012- 2015, announced UNDP.
