njegosNjegos Sikiras is one of the golden cadets of the basketball national team of B&H. He opened the final match with a great shot, which announced the brilliant play of the BH boys. His mother Sladjana Sikiras said she barely watched the match.

“It was hard for me, I walk around the house, then I put a pillow over my head and couple of minutes pass, I come in and look at the result, I see the fouls, but they were good”, Sladjana said.

Sikiras started his career in the basketball club Tri Poena from Pale, after which he went to Bijeljina. He has been shooting for the Italian club Stelaazuro for two years now. As his mother revealed, the national team of Serbia also showed interest in Sikiras, but he chose his B&H.

“I think it was a good move. I must say that Njegos was born in Bosnia, we were born in Sarajevo, his grandfathers, great-grandfathers. Njegos is not Serbian, he is a Serb from Bosnia”, said his mother and added: “Pale cheered for B&H, and that is his success”.
