In August 2018, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials registered 323 calls to the “Crimestoppers” telephone line.

In the above-mentioned time period, citizens submitted four useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made.

In addition, 88 reports were received through the electronic criminal offense reporting form, out of which 10 information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators were rated as useful, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made.

The majority of information referred to the criminal offences referred to as “other”. Out of the total number of useful information received through “Crimestoppers” and electronic form, 14 were forwarded for further proceeding to competent police authorities in BiH and SIPA acted upon three information.

Nine feedbacks from the competent police and other authorities were received, which were related to the previously submitted information, received through “Crimestoppers” or electronic criminal offense reporting form.

In addition, SIPA police officials gave 55 recommendations to the citizens who contacted them via anonymous and free telephone number “Crimestoppers” – 080 020 505.
