A Woman Killed in Sarajevo After Tree Falls on Her This Morning

In the Sarajevo neighborhood of Grbavica, this morning, a pine tree, more than 10 meters high, fell on a woman who died from her injuries at the Emergency Medicine Clinic.

According to the Ministry of the Interior of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance of the Canton of Sarajevo was notified at 7:15 a.m. that a woman had been injured on Aleja Lipa Street.

“At 8:05 a.m., the injured person was declared dead at the KUM. The prosecutor has been notified, and police officers are on the scene,” the Canton of Sarajevo Ministry of the Interior states.

The snow that fell in the last 24 hours has caused enormous problems throughout BiH, mostly in traffic, where a large number of traffic accidents have been recorded, as well as the suspension of public transport.

Citizens have complained about uncleaned and impassable roads, as well as sidewalks covered in snow.

This morning at 07:00, 44 centimeters of snow were measured in Tuzla; Zenica and Sarajevo 40; Mrkonjić Grad 30; Drvar 27; Doboj 26; Sokolac 25; Han Pijesak 22; Rudo 18; Foča, Srebrenica 17; Sanski Most and Livno 16; Banja Luka 14; Prijedor 11; Bihać 10; Višegrad 7 and Bosanski Novi 3 centimeters.
