‘Southeast Europe 2020’: Presentation of Strategies for Employment

sarajevo panoramaThe first draft of the strategy ‘Southeast Europe 2020’ for creating one million new jobs in the region will be presented today in Sarajevo, announced the Council for Regional Cooperation (RCC).

The Secretariat of the RSS prepared the document in consultation with governments and initiatives from Southeast Europe, announced RCC.

The main objective of the strategy is to improve living conditions in the region and to restore competitiveness and development.

The Secretary of the B&H Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Hamdo Tinjak will open the workshop, while the coordinator for the strategy ‘Southeast Europe 2020’ and senior expert of RCC for economic and social development Sanjin Arifagić will present the strategy. Representatives of the EU delegation will attend the presentation.

After Sarajevo, the workshops will be held in Zagreb on 17 September, in Belgrade on 18 September, and Tirana on 1 October. Presentations in Skoplje, Pristina and Podgorica were held last week.

The workshop is scheduled to start at 10:00 in Hotel Holiday Inn.
