As part of the CEO Academy organized by the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, the first StartUp Expo was held yesterday, at which 20 StartUp companies from B&H were presented.
Šejla Vatreš, the project manager of CEO Conference, said that the aim of this fair is to promote local StartUp companies from B&H.
”We want to promote young people and their ideas. Companies have a chance here to introduce themselves, exchange their experiences between each other and establish contacts,” said Vatreš.
This year’s partner of the project CEO Academy is Business Portal eKapija.ba, which awarded seven startups companies today with a free subscription, in order to support these young companies.
Awarded companies are following: Pointer, Krompir.ba, Organlook, Articoolisan, Simplus creations, eNovosti and Driving School Lifeline.
Seida Bijedić, the chief editor of the portal eKapija.ba, said during the awarding prize that there were very interesting ideas among these participants, and expressed hope that through eKapija.ba B2B service these young entrepreneurs will manage to reach new partners, clients and contacts.
Participants had a chance to win the ticket for the Exit Sea Dance Festival, and two free registration fees for the CEO conference in Belgrade.
Also, participants of the CEO Academy, 200 of them, on workshops had the opportunity to hear how it is to start a business, and to get first-hand tips on how to realize a good idea in practice.
In addition to these activities, on the 24th of May, participants will have opportunity to catch up with the twenty eminent lecturers on activity “Coffee with …”
