The tanker that landed in Lake Salakovac near Mostar yesterday was pulled out of the lake today. All oil from the tank was removed, without spilling into the Neretva River.

The traffic accident happened yesterday on the main road M-17 in Dreznica, and it involved a van with Slovenian license plates and a tank truck from Visoko, which landed in Lake Salakovac.

The tanker continued to float after the accident and stopped a few hundred meters downstream. Immediately after the report, the Delta Petrol intervention team arrived at the scene with four specially equipped tanks and two vans with materials for remediation of environmental incidents.

The cistern was gradually removed from the water, anchored at several positions on the shore with steel cables, and under water with the help of the diving team “Extreme Explorer” from Mostar.

Let us remind you, seven people were injured in a car accident that happened yesterday in Dreznica. Divers who arrived from Mostar pulled out the body of the tanker driver.
