Tegeltija claims Citizens of BiH will receive Vaccines in the same Time as EU

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija, stated that the citizens of our country will receive vaccines within the planned deadlines, and that BiH is keeping pace with the EU when it comes to the procurement of vaccines.

His statement is not very clear, considering that immunization has already started in EU countries, Nezavisne writes.

“We will choose the safest procurement channels, and we think that it is in cooperation with the EU. That way, the citizens of BiH will receive the vaccine within the deadlines that are planned for the citizens of the EU,” Tegeltija said.

He pointed out that funds were provided for 20 percent of the population.

“These are the most endangered categories in society that should be vaccinated first. Of course, we will continue with the process of procuring vaccines up to the total number needed for people to be vaccinated, I’m talking about those vaccines that we will procure and which will be free for BiH citizens.”

It is estimated that between 50 and 60 percent of the population needs to be vaccinated in order to bring the plague that afflicts us under control, “said the chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers.

The first vaccines in BiH are expected by the end of the first quarter, he emphasized.

“If it really happens that we get a larger number of vaccines in the first quarter, that will be an acceptable deadline for us,” Tegeltija added.
