Tehran denies supplying Missiles to Russia

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs stated on Wednesday that Tehran has not supplied any ballistic missiles to Russia and that sanctions imposed by the United States (U.S.) and three European powers will not resolve issues between them.

“Once again, the U.S. and the E3 are acting based on incorrect intelligence and flawed logic. Iran has not supplied ballistic missiles to Russia. Sanctions are not the solution, but part of the problem,” Minister Abbas Araghchiposted on X.

The E3 refers to the United Kingdom (UK), Germany, and France.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday that Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and would likely use them in Ukraine within weeks. He noted that the cooperation between Moscow and Tehran posed a threat to broader European security.

On Tuesday, the U.S., Germany, the UK, and France imposed new sanctions on Iran, including measures against its national airline, Iran Air.

The Kremlin also dismissed reports on Wednesday that Iran had supplied missiles to Russia, labeling the claims about various weapons transfers as unfounded.
