This morning, ten new minibuses began to operate on public transport lines in Sarajevo Canton, confirmed the Minister of Transport of CS Adnan Šteta.

New minibuses from 5:15 a.m. are distributed on several lines, including Sutjeska – Poljine, Vogošća – Tihovići, Stup – Sokolje, Stup – Rječica, Hadžići – Pazarić, and lines from Tarčin to Korča, Luka and Trznje.

The Old Town lines Baščaršija – Faletići and Park – Sedrenik – Rogina have been additionally strengthened with two new minibuses each.

In a post on social networks, Šteta states that the vehicles were purchased with the funds of the citizens of Sarajevo Canton, with the aim of improving the quality of public transport and the daily life of citizens.

He pointed out that the minibus service was about to be shut down earlier, but that significant progress is being made with the investments and renovation of the vehicle fleet.

“Five more new minibuses will arrive in Sarajevo, which should be included in traffic by the end of the month, which will complete the delivery of all 15 vehicles. They will be assigned to the lines where the needs are greatest,” Šteta said.

After the completion of delivery, there will no longer be minibuses that do not meet EURO 6 standards on the streets of Sarajevo Canton.
