International Trade Fair Mostar – 2016, one of the most important economic manifestations in the region, today opened its doors in Slobodna Zona Hercegovina in Mostar.
The opening ceremony was held at the Pavilion 1, at 11.00 am.
At the opening of the Fair, participants were addressed by the Director of Mostar Fair Dalfina Bosnjak, Mayor of the city of Mostar Ljubo Beslic, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic, the President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, the President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Numan Kurtulmus, Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of the Republic of Turkey – the partner country of the fair, who declared the fair as opened.
After the official opening, delegations visited exhibit space of the fair.
For this year’s, the 19th consecutive fair, exhibitors from 24 countries present themselves at about 30,000 m2 of indoor and outdoor space, and it was expected that 50,000 people visit the fair.
Besides the general fair manifestation, on which were presented all branches of the economy, there were also traditional and specialized events of Fair of Tourism, Book Fair of graphic industries as well as the Fair of information technologies.
Mostar Fair, in collaboration with its partners, organized a number of conferences, round tables and workshops on the topic of renewable energy sources, construction of hydroelectric power plants, tourism and environmental protection, development of the economy, investment in BiH, export and import.
Also, local and regional wine production were presented as part of the Tourism Fair, as well as autochthonous Herzegovina and Slavonia cuisine, and prizes for the best wines were awarded.
