The annual Report on happiness, where are Bosnians?

School of Bosnian Language St. Louis faktor.baUN-initiative ”Network solutions for sustainable development” (SDSN) published an annual report on happiness in the world, and the ranking which countries are the happiest. Bosnia and Herzegovina is ranked 87th, with a score of (5.16), according to the media reports.

The list was based on Gallup’s global research in 157 countries, and the subjects were evaluated on a degree of happiness from 0 to 10, where zero represents the worst and ten the best possible life.

When it comes to the rest of the former Yugoslavia countries, best place went to Slovenia, which is the 63rd with a score of (5.77), followed by Croatia ranked 74th (5.48), Serbia on 86 (5.17), and Montenegro on 88th place  and a score of (5.16).

The least happy five countries in the world are Burundi, Syria, Togo, Afghanistan and Benin.

Among other things, the world report on happiness relates also to the analysis in the field of economy, psychology, health, life expectancy, perceptions of corruption and solidarity of fellow citizens.
