The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the budget proposal for state institutions for 2025 at today’s session.

The proposal was voted for by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić and Presidency Member Denis Bećirović, while Presidency Member Željka Cvijanović voted against it.

The budget will now go into further procedure and must be approved by both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Komšić and Bećirović submitted a series of amendments that provide additional funds for the Armed Forces of BiH, SIPA, the Indirect Taxation Administration, and the Personal Data Protection Agency.

According to the new budget, BHRT, the Srebrenica Memorial Center, and the Archives of BiH should also receive additional funds.

It is proposed that BHRT receive 20 million BAM, with the aim of more stable functioning of the Public Broadcasting Service and fulfilling obligations after the introduction of the minimum wage of 1,000 BAM.

At the last minute, Komšić’s amendment was also accepted, providing five million BAM for holding elections for the president of the Bosnian entity of Republika Srpska.
