OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe construction of a new bridge across the Ukrina River at the section of the regional road Gornja Vijaka dva – Razboj is to start today in Dragalovci near Stanari.

It was announced by the Public Enterprise “The Roads of the Republic of Srpska” that the construction will begin by introducing the contractor, the company “Prijedorputevi” Prijedor, to a job whose value is 1.147.116 BAM with VAT and the deadline of the execution of the works of six months.

The existing construction of the bridge in Dragalovci dates back from the fifties of the last century and is located at the confluence of Mala Ukrina River to the Velika Ukrina River, forming the Ukrina River after the bridge.

The bridge is located at an unfavourable place on the route of the road and represents a “black spot”, and the transverse cracks opened along the entire plate of the road, due to which the traffic across the bridge is suspended for the vehicles whose total mass exceeds five tons.

The existing bridge, besides not having the satisfying load capacity, also does not have satisfying elements of width and is therefore intended for one-way traffic. The new bridge must be fitted into the new route of the road whose track width is 5.5 meters and the width of the verge one meter.

The bridge should have a total length of 81.18 meters with 80 centimeters wide pedestrian tracks. The elaborate on the alterations in the traffic regime is a responsibility of the contractor, and a consent of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the RS must be given for it.

The building permit for the construction of the new bridge was issued by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and the Environment of the Republic of Srpska on March 18th, while the professional and technical supervision of the construction of the bridge will be performed by the company “Inkoprom” from Banja Luka.
