The Government of Sarajevo Canton and the unions of primary education and the police of CS signed today the Agreement on the calculation of the salary base, which brings its increase for employees in these areas from the current 315 BAM to 330 BAM.

“After signing this Agreement, we are continuing negotiations with the Government of CS and the line minister on changes and increases in the coefficients according to which the salaries of employees in kindergartens and primary schools are calculated. This is the first step this year when it comes to improving the status of educators. We expect that the Government will authorize the line minister to complete the negotiations as soon as possible so that educators can feel the growth of their standard in 2022, “said Saudin Sivro, president of the CS Primary Education Union, at today’s signing.

Today, an agreement was signed on the calculation of the base salary for employees of the Ministry of the Interior of the KS and the Police Administration, where the base was also determined in the amount of 330 BAM.

As the president of the KS Police Union, Sadik Eco, points out, this is not a big increase, and the agreement is signed after the Government made a decision on this basis.

“We need an agreement in order for this basis to be guaranteed, without the possibility of changing it if there is no previous agreement with the unions.” We expect the Government and the Minister of the Interior of the KS to give their consent as soon as possible to the Rulebook on Salaries of Civil Servants and Employees in the MUP of the CS, in accordance with the collective agreement, “Eco points out.

On behalf of the Government of CS, the Agreement on the basis for calculating salaries was signed by the Prime Minister of CS, Edin Forto.

“Increasing the base is a response of the CS government to real demands due to the obvious increase in the cost of living. That is what we could do at the moment. I am glad that the Primary Education and Police Unions have realized that this is a good process which they represent, “Prime Minister Forto said on the occasion.
