The distinguished professor, excellent surgeon and physician prof. Ph.D. Emir Solaković who had a rare gift. He approached his patients in a special way, understood their pain and talked to them in a special way.

His departure is not only a loss for the medical profession, but a void in the hearts of all those he touched, to whom he dedicated his life.

He considered every human life the greatest value, fought for it selflessly and with love. His life was truly dedicated to everyone: patients, friends, viewers.

As an excellent surgeon, head of the Clinic for Vascular Surgery in Sarajevo (KCUS) and founder of the private clinic “Dr. Solaković”, he left an indelible mark. His expertise was unquestionable, and thousands of lives saved, restored to normal flows, will forever bear witness to it.

Professor Solaković’s particular pride was his contribution to the establishment of a war hospital in Sarajevo in 1992. In times when life was most threatened, he was there, fighting for every breath, for every hope. He was a professor who selflessly transmitted knowledge, sharing it with generations of young doctors, shaping the future of medicine in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His departure leaves a huge void, but the memory of his kindness, expertise and dedication will live forever.
