The Fire of Anatolia tomorrow in Sarajevo

On 29 March, famous Turkish dance group ‘The Fire of Anatolia’ is going to perform before the audience of Sarajevo in the Olympic hall ‘Zetra’ and all the tickets are sold out.

In an interview to Anadolu Agency, PR of the group Banu Gok said that 60 members of the group will come and added that they have performed in Sarajevo in 2006 and noted that Sarajevo is a magical city and that they are very excited to come. She added that they plan to visit next year with their performance of ‘Troya’.

The main dancer Perit Kuban Yancatoral who also participated in the play in 2006 in Sarajevo said that the ‘The Fire of Anatolia’ was the first group to visit BiH after the war, and added that he’s very happy because people of BiH have put aside all the bad memories.

Dancer Halil Can Ocak said that he’s happy that all the tickets have been sold out and he hopes to visit BiH again. He added that many dance schools have opened in Europe and the plan to open one in BiH.

‘The Fire of Anatolia’ shows traditional dances through ballet, modern dances and different disciplines. This dance group is world famous, and their performance, directed by Mustafa Erdogan will be split in two 45 minutes parts.

The group was formed in 1999 and today it has 250 dancers and they can perform in three countries in the same time.

‘The Fire of Anatolia’ has performed so far in 87 countries with 3850 performances and more than 35 million people watched them.
