The First Pegasus Plane landed at the Tuzla International Airport

The first plane of the Turkish airline Pegasus landed on Saturday at the International Airport in Tuzla, officially establishing cooperation.

The plane from Istanbul with passengers landed at 7:30 a.m., and the line is planned to be operational once a week.

“This is a long-standing unfulfilled dream that has been fulfilled today. With our allocation for infrastructure projects, we have shown how much we care about the airport, and what follows are additional funds for subsidizing flights, which are necessary to establish them, especially for lines to cities of Western Europe,” said Irfan Halilagić, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton.

Cooperation was established at the beginning of June when representatives of the Government of Tuzla Canton visited Turkey.

Through this cooperation, flights on the route Istanbul-Tuzla-Istanbul were arranged, which will be realized every Saturday until October.

The first flight was attended by Turkish delegations, including representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

“By launching these flights, we believe that these connections will deepen and that they will continue on an upward path. I especially hope that these flights will bring about the economic and trade development of this region,” said Enver Iskurt, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

In addition to Pegasus, Tuzla International Airport has also established cooperation with the Turkish low-cost company aJet, which will also fly to Istanbul from this fall, and from next year to Antalya, AA writes.
